Singapore Day 2 – Santosa Island, Clarke Quay

Today we decided to go to Sentosa Island Singapore. As we wanted to go on the cable car and it finished earlier than the monorail so we decided to take the cable car over to the island. They had a deal where you could get unlimited travel on the monorail as well as the Aquarium and Merlion for $69. As we wanted to go to the Aquarium We decided to get these tickets.

The cable car is well worth a ride. You can see everything around that area as you are very high. The S.E.A Aquarium is fantastic and well worth a visit. The Typhoon 4D movie is cool and a good start for your visit to the aquarium. We really enjoyed seeing the different species of sea animals.

After lunch we visited the Adventure Cove Water park. When we went to pay there was a random special admission price of 2 for $50 instead of $38 per person so a great saving. It was nice to relax on the tubes and float around through the caves and overhead aquarium. The Rainbow reef is a cool experience, snorkelling with lots of fish and coral below. There is a also a Wave pool, four water slide rides and a kid water play zone.

Next stop was the monorail to the Merlion. We picked a great time to visit, no queue at all, around 6pm and maybe only 5 other people in the building. A good view to take photos from. We then walked down the path to the Beach area. We had cocktails on the beach at one of the many bars, then caught the Beach tram to look around. The beaches are worth a look, very different to the Resort world side. We then made our way back to the Cable car around 7:30pm to head back to the Harbour. A nice way to see the city lights at night.

For dinner we went to Clarke Quay- a great night area with an abundance of restaurants and bars with many different food varieties. We ate at Mulligans English Pub, good value meals for under $20.
