Malaysia – Kuala Lumpur Day 2

First up today we headed to the botanical gardens area just outside of Kuala Lumpur. We caught a taxi to the KL Butterfly Park. It was quite small however there were plenty of different butterfly’s to look at. We then walked up to the KL Bird Park. The park is quite large and has many birds. For 10rm per person you can get pictures with about 8 birds. There is also a bird show.

We then walked up to the Orchard Garden. There were many types of orchards however I don’t think that it is the right time of year as there were not many in flower.

We caught a taxi back to our hotel and had a swim to cool off as it was very humid. We then caught the monorail to Bukit Bintang so that we could have a look around. We went to Berjaya Times Square which is a large shopping centre with a theme park inside.

Across the road is Plaza Low Yat which has many shops selling electronics. We purchased a battery for our camera which took a while as no one had it as it was new. We finally found someone that did and it was about 20 AUD. We walked down the H&M and then caught a taxi to dinner.

For dinner we went to La Risata an Italian Restaurant. It was very nice and there were many locals dining here. We tried to go the night before however it was booked out. It was also very busy this night as well. Once finished we went back to Sky Bar at Traders hotel as we wanted to see the city at night. We had a drink then walked back over to the 5 train which is next to Petronas Towers. We also saw the fountain show. They light it up with under water LED lights.
